Smoke and Carbon Monoxide Alarms– Glasgow, Paisley & Renfrew

Supply and install battery powered interlinked smoke and heat alarms

2 x smoke alarms and 1 x heat alarm – £150+VAT

Additional smoke alarms – £50+VAT per alarm required

All rented properties in Glasgow, Paisley & Renfrew must have smoke alarms installed in hallways and in the living room, as well as a heat detector in the kitchen. These alarms must also be interlinked. Previously these alarms had to be mains wired. However from March 2019 the regulations were amended to allow long life battery alarms to be fitted as well as mains wired alarms.

Supply and install battery powered carbon monoxide alarms – £30+VAT per alarm

All rented properties in Glasgow, Paisley & Renfrew must have carbon monoxide alarms installed in any room containing a fixed combustion appliance (unless used solely for cooking) or flue running through it.

From February 2021 these requirements will apply to all homes in Scotland, regardless of tenure.
